CentOS 8 epel-next-release とは

はじめに

私の環境ではDNFの自動更新を有効にしており、且つ、EPELリポジトリを利用しています。

DNFの自動更新はアップデート時にメールで通知する設定としているのですが、2021/6/27の更新でepel-next-releaseという見慣れないパッケージがepel-releaseの依存関係でインストールされました。

パッケージの情報

epel-next-releaseとは

どうやらCentOS Stream 8に関連して追加されたリポジトリのようです。epel-release自体は必須でepel-next-releaseはepel-releaseの依存関係でインストールされる為、epel-next-releaseを特に意識することは無さそうです。
